Biography

The universe of CYCLODELIK, personified by the showman Guillermo Fresquet, is the representation of “bicyclo” as an image of the man who transforms himself from the “homo machine” to “Homo tecnologicus”. His characters recreate different cultural concepts and combined primitive elements, like fire and air, with more developed and complex ones such as iron, machines, metal structures, costumes and stage decorations, circus and LED lights. He is an inventor, a craftsman, he moves between art and technology, nature, sports and physical condition constitute the base for his creation.
The history of CYCLODELIK is written with effort and uniqueness, in addition to skill and perseverance in the development of his project and goals: to build his own show, his “creature”, always with the support of great professionals around him.
Neither schoolbooks, nor family work would take the time and passion Guillermo used to spend with his bikes; home Circuits and other workouts were the roots of his current dreams. Later on, he would experiment and evolve to monocycles, motors, wheels, and hybrid theatrical elements and structures.

At age 20 he receives his first performances in Discos, parties and related events such as “Festival del Sol”, where, along its three editions, he would realize the tough profession of the circus; then, his show begins to be defined aesthetically. Pictures and sounds are elements that start to appear in his shows: video projections and special effects reinforce the experience of his performances. Consequently, he feels the need to focus on his passion, so he leaves his job and hometown to move to Ibiza to be able to work exclusively in his performances.

There he meets artists and shows at work, noticing how hard and magical is the world show and circus … Here he starts his first performances in AMNESIA, PRIVILEGE and “closing” of SPACE, all worldwide well known clubs.
PRIVILEGE will be his home in the 2009 season’s “Circus” feast fit perfectly with the style of their performances. Air and equilibrium shows with different themes all them in order to make the night an experience of senses and emotions.
During the last seasons, he has been collaborating with Armin Van Buren in Privilege and he has also performed with stars such as Dj Tiesto, Fat Boy Slim, Dani Tenaglia, Markus Schulz, etc.
Egypt, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, South Korea and Spain have been residence of this itinerant artist of CYCLODELIK universe.
Today he continues to expand boundaries and developing new projects.
